What is Scrum?

Scrum is one of the most popular Agile Frameworks these days. It is a different mindset, an approach to turning a “complex” projects into something workable. Scrum is adaptive, flexible, iterative, and highly effective. Scrum Development is designed to deliver a working product increment in a short cycle, quickly iteratively with continuous feedback and continuous improvement, and adaption to change.

Also known as an empirical process what generally is used for dealing with large and complex projects where there is a lot of uncertainty at the beginning (start) of a new project but will significantly decreased along the way.
Scrum itself falls under a Empirical Process where: Transparency, Inspection, and Adaption are the three main pillars. See below: the “Scrum House” visualization.
